The Puncture Propagation Tear Tester allows manufacturers and users to determine the potential weakness and resistance to snag or puncture. APPLICATIONS: Paper, Foil, Film, Coated and Uncoated Textiles, Nonwovens, Flexible Packaging SPECIFICATIONS: ASTM D 2582 FEATURES: * Tests a 203 mm x 203 mm (8.0 in x 8.0 in.) specimen * Measures puncture and propagation of tear for a wide variety of sheet materials * Reproduces snagging as well as tearing * Probe design minimizes influence of puncture resistance on tear resistance measurement | |
